Damn that was good ！！ 4。5 stars good ！ I waited so much for this book because this serie is a delight。 All of the books in it are good and this one continues to show it。 Raffaele is an ass。 Sometimes he’s likable sometimes he’s not but that why we love him。 He wanted so badly to have the upper hand and be unaffected by any of their interactions and so many times he failed。 I love it when a characters thinks his partner doesn’t care but a frown， a smirk， a look let’s US know that’s not the case。 Damn that was good ！！ 4。5 stars good ！ I waited so much for this book because this serie is a delight。 All of the books in it are good and this one continues to show it。 Raffaele is an ass。 Sometimes he’s likable sometimes he’s not but that why we love him。 He wanted so badly to have the upper hand and be unaffected by any of their interactions and so many times he failed。 I love it when a characters thinks his partner doesn’t care but a frown， a smirk， a look let’s US know that’s not the case。 Raffaele gaves us plenty of that。 I also love that as bossy as alpha as he was he was the one to “come back” or make Nate “come back” each time。 Nate is so likable and endearing。 I love his stubbornness I love how he never backed down even when it was expected of him by Raffaele。 He puts up with him but also keep him on his toes。 He tried so hard to not let his desires and feelings take roots。 Especially when Raffaele berated him for the first even when he secretly loved it and kinda mocked him at the idea of the second。 I can’t wait for the next book。 Especially with that little phrase Jordan said to Nate in his office。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I really wanted to like this more and I liked most of the other books in this series， but the boss/employee set up here was really off putting。 I know that these books are not realistic and require some suspension of disbelief but this was just wrong。 It is not “consensual” when a job is explicitly conditioned on sex， even if the employee goes along with it willingly， thinks he won’t really （probably） get fired if he doesn’t and could quit。 And this sophisticated businessman didn’t give any thou I really wanted to like this more and I liked most of the other books in this series， but the boss/employee set up here was really off putting。 I know that these books are not realistic and require some suspension of disbelief but this was just wrong。 It is not “consensual” when a job is explicitly conditioned on sex， even if the employee goes along with it willingly， thinks he won’t really （probably） get fired if he doesn’t and could quit。 And this sophisticated businessman didn’t give any thought （at all！） to sexual harassment laws？ The sister’s indignation and alarm was more than merited。 Also， it almost seemed like neither was all that attracted to the other until after they started playing “gay chicken”。 The condom/woman scene was … weird。 The power dynamic was similar to the first book in the series， but that one seemed less problematic to me since the more powerful person （gay professor） was way more into the straight/bi student all along， who offered the sex first。 So this was disappointing， but I still read the whole thing。 。。。more

You know when one of your favourite author's and favourite series has a new book， they release it and you're disappointed？ Or when a book you're really excited about has tons of 5 star reviews， you read it and you're like wtf？Well。。 That didn't happen here！ I've been so excited to read this book and it didn't disappoint at all。 How does she keep managing to write such likeable alpha arseholes？ Rafe shouldn't be likeable but he was。 Nate was lovely and clueless and funny。 His sister was great AND You know when one of your favourite author's and favourite series has a new book， they release it and you're disappointed？ Or when a book you're really excited about has tons of 5 star reviews， you read it and you're like wtf？Well。。 That didn't happen here！ I've been so excited to read this book and it didn't disappoint at all。 How does she keep managing to write such likeable alpha arseholes？ Rafe shouldn't be likeable but he was。 Nate was lovely and clueless and funny。 His sister was great AND we got two of my faves Luke & Roman。I loved everything。 And I will be re reading as soon as time allows。 I've been in such a book slump recently I can't tell you how happy it's made me that this didn't disappoint。I have more to say but for now I'll finish with if you like AH and this series in particular， you will love this one。 。。。more

Quería postear esto desde que termine de leer el ARC （Gracias a la autora por enviarme el ARC， me hace la persona mas feliz del mundo）。 En Just a Bit Bossy tenemos la historia de Nate Parrish que por azares del destino termina siendo el asistente personal de Raffaele Ferrara。 Nate odia a su jefe desde el momento en que se conocen pero no puede renunciar， por otro lado Raffaele es un hombre completamente autoritario y acostumbrado a que todo el mundo cumpla sus exigencias， tampoco parece entender Quería postear esto desde que termine de leer el ARC （Gracias a la autora por enviarme el ARC， me hace la persona mas feliz del mundo）。 En Just a Bit Bossy tenemos la historia de Nate Parrish que por azares del destino termina siendo el asistente personal de Raffaele Ferrara。 Nate odia a su jefe desde el momento en que se conocen pero no puede renunciar， por otro lado Raffaele es un hombre completamente autoritario y acostumbrado a que todo el mundo cumpla sus exigencias， tampoco parece entender que su asistente personal no es en realidad su esclavo personal。 Eventualmente las cosas entre ellos se vuelven más personales y todo se complica。 Soy muy fan de los romances de oficina y realmente me gusto este… pero no estoy segura de si cubrió mis expectativas。 Realmente esperaba amarlo con locura pero no fue así， solo estuvo bien， obviamente tuvo partes donde me emocione un montón pero también partes más planas。 Esta historia tiene varios de los clichés que me gustan como jefe/empleado， grumpy/sunshine， y hasta un poco de enemies to lovers。 No hay una gran ambientación porque la mayor parte transcurre en la oficina sin embargo es entretenido y bastante sencillo y rápido de leer por los capítulos cortos y el estilo de escritura que maneja la autora。 Me gusto el inicio y rumbo al final pero hay una parte en medio que simplemente no me gusto， me pareció forzada y fuera de lugar， eso hizo que no disfrutara tanto mi lectura。 Sobre los personajes puedo decir que Nate en un inicio parte un niño geek， soñador y medio iluso pero a medida que pasan los capítulos me fue gustando mas con su humor， su energía y su sentido de lo correcto que a pesar de estar bajo la influencia de Raffaele nunca cambio su forma de ser o de defender a las personas o causas justas。 Por otro lado， Raffaele esta pintado como “la personificación de Satanás” desde la sinopsis y sí es arrogante， mandón e insufrible el 99% del tiempo pero tampoco me creí que era tan malo como querían hacerlo ver， all final solo es un hombre gruñón， asquerosamente rico y adicto al trabajo。 Me gusto su relación creo que estaban en una rara relación desde que eran solo jefe-empleado de manera profesional， fue entretenido verlos caer sin darse cuenta que su fijación con el otro era algo más。 La hermana me pareció un buen personaje secundario， era la voz de la razón en la cabeza de Nate y sus intervenciones fueron entretenidas。 Contrario a la aparición de Roman y Luke que en mi opinión no tenia razón de ser y estaba totalmente forzada en la historia， y me duele porque yo amo a esos dos， pensé que iban a ser introducidos de diferente manera o a darme un update de su fabulosa y millonaria vida juntos pero no， realmente podríamos prescindir de ellos y no habría cambio alguno en el curso de esta historia （Jamás creí que iba a estar diciendo esto y me duele）。 Hubo partes en las que me parecía absurda la situación， por ejemplo el motivo por el que Nate comienza como PA， las conexiones/pasado de su familia， el viaje o el cómo sale a la luz la relación， para mi fue muy absurdo y realmente creo que había maneras mas creíbles de hacerlo。 Sin embargo， como ya dije， disfrute sus interacciones， sus diálogos entretenidos y el drama que me dieron rumbo al final， así que fue una lectura entretenida。Esto no va para mis favoritos de la serie， pero no estuvo mal。 。。。more

5 AMAZING STARS。Spoiler-free review， more of a rant about how much I adore Alessandra Hazard。 Okay， this book is what sparked my compulsive decision to make a Goodreads account， something I’ve been avoiding to （unsuccessfully） curb my reading addiction。 But jfc， I just needed to express a few things。First off， I f*cking love Alessandra Hazard。 I’m not even exaggerating。 I’ve read EVERY SINGLE ONE of her books and have fell in love with her writing COUNTLESS times。 None of the books I’ve read （an 5 AMAZING STARS。Spoiler-free review， more of a rant about how much I adore Alessandra Hazard。 Okay， this book is what sparked my compulsive decision to make a Goodreads account， something I’ve been avoiding to （unsuccessfully） curb my reading addiction。 But jfc， I just needed to express a few things。First off， I f*cking love Alessandra Hazard。 I’m not even exaggerating。 I’ve read EVERY SINGLE ONE of her books and have fell in love with her writing COUNTLESS times。 None of the books I’ve read （and trust me， I’m an avid reader） can ever amount to the perfection of Hazard’s writing。 There’s just a certain charm to her books that hits all of the right spots for me。 “Just a Bit Bossy” is essentially a culmination of the assistant/boss trope with incredibly endearing characters。 What I love most about Hazard’s writing is the way she weaves the characters’ neediness into her scenes。 Each and every interaction between Nate and Rafaelle made me squeal into my blankets like a crazed woman。 In particular， this book is one of her best - ranking close to Just a Bit Ruthless。 It didn’t need the drama of the other books in the series to be one of the best。 This is exactly why it deserves a 5 star rating。 I barely know any other books that are this easy-going but yet so good at the same time。 Although this is my first review， I felt the need to make it lengthy， as this is the only way I can ever amount to Hazard’s spectacular writing。 Is it normal to feel such devastation when finishing a book？ I dread having to wait until December before her next book comes out because I’ve formed a somewhat unhealthy reliance on the way her books make me *feel*。 I’ve tried time and time again to find books that come close to Hazard’s but I have failed countless times。 If anyone can recommend authors that can cure my deprivation of having read all of her books - please contact me ASAP。This marks the end of my first-ever review :）， you’ll see me again once Illicit releases。 Toodles！ 。。。more
